Lets Get Started
About Me
Hi, my name is George Millar and I am a freelance Audio Engineer based in Coventry, West Midlands.
Why Choose Me
There are a lot of mix engineers out there — here’s what sets my work apart:
Genre Focused
I specialise in metal, rock, and alternative. I understand the balance between aggression, clarity, and impact — your mix won’t sound generic or over-polished.
Modern, Competitive Sound
Your tracks will stand up next to current releases on Spotify and Apple Music, with the punch, width, and low-end modern listeners expect.
Detail-Oriented
From tight drums to controlled vocals and heavy guitars that don’t turn to mud — I focus on the small details that make a big difference.
Clear Communication
No guesswork. You’ll know what’s happening with your project, timelines, and revisions at every stage.
Built for Artists, Not Just Audio
I don’t just mix — I help bring your vision to life. References, direction, and feedback are all part of the process.
In the early 2000’s I attended Perth College and studied audio engineering and studio recording under, amongst others, Brian Young of CaVa Studios, Glasgow, (Idlewild, Mogwai, Belle & Sabastian, Rage Against the Machine, David Byrne) and Rich Hinton (Sanctuary Music Groups Trident 2 and NOMIS / Sanctuary studios).
In the years that followed, I have continued to work in and around live music. The lockdown of 2020/2021 gave me the opportunity to launch my remote mixing and editing services, and more recently more traditional recording sessions.
